What is the Pequonnock Valley Trail Care (PVTC)?

The Pequonnock Valley Trail Care is group of local park users who love the park and maintain the trails on a regular basis. From armoring wet spots, to coordinating with the land managers removing tree blowdowns; we are actively engaged in keeping the trails clear and sustainable. In order to minimize the amount of resource impact as much possible, we use rocks and fallen wood gathered nearby.

We love the park and although we have been active caretakers for years, in 2013 we informally started the PVTC and work with the Town and State on some of the larger trail-related projects. This site was created to inform the public of the work we do.
