This bizarre photo vividly portrays a sad-but-true, incredible story:

Guanajuanto, Mexico 1916

Because of limited space in the local cemetery, the bodies of the poor stayed buried for just five years unless relatives paid a grave tax. Families who couldn't pay up, had their loved ones dug up and hung on pegs by the local authorities. New dead occupants quickly filled their old graves.
