Fred was a resident of Springdale, Conntecticut, and railroad enthusiast. His collection consists of scrapbooks of photographs of trains of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad and other railroads in New England, trolleys, and scenes of Stamford, Connecticut, and various railroad related papers (as collected by Makowsky).
