Meet our hike guides who collectively offer a wealth of information on the Trumbull valley:

John Lauria is a lifelong Trumbull resident, past president of the Trumbull Historical Society, member of the Trumbull Inland Wetlands and Water Course Commission and a steering committee member for the Pequonnock River Initiative (PRI). John has previously led several hikes through the Pequonnock River Valley.

Rich Coffey fell in love with the Valley a few years ago mountain biking with his son and works in conjunction with both the DEEP and the Town to help minimize adverse environmental impact to the trails. An avid mapmaker, he has created a library of colorful detailed maps of the valley as well and looks forward to sharing his knowledge of the park with others

Sue DelBianco is a member of The Trumbull Historical Society and has been a local historian for many years. Sue has conducted numerous slide presentations in local libraries, where she shows the audience, through captivating images, the then-and-now of the history of the Trumbull Valley. She brings the audience back in time to when industry was booming in “The Valley” aided by the railroad. Sue is presently attending college to obtain a teaching degree in history.
