Annual Pequonnock Valley Hike - Nov 2nd, 2014
This year we explored a new history-laden route traversing Old Mine Park, Parlor Rock and the Indian Ledge Escarpment.

The Trumbull Historical Society in partnership with the Trumbull Nature Center held this year’s historic nature hike on Sunday, November 2 meeting at Old Mine Park. The hike began at 12 noon and explored Parlor Rock Park, Indian Ledge Park and Old Mine Park. On the hike we visited the site of the Parlor Rock Amusement Park, an ancient Native American cliff shelter, the ruins of the Radcliffe knit mill and some folks continued on to explore the remnants of an old tungsten mining operation.
